Heidi is
the owner of Clear Simple Living LLC, a company devoted to creating power and
freedom in life with others through organization of home and office.
Heidi teaches simple and effective organizational systems and
time mastery skills that help you:
Heidi’s
clients say that the source of her enormous impact is her philosophy that:
"When every area of your home and
life is organized, you have the power to follow your life's purpose and live
your best life."
This philosophy, Heidi says, is one of the most important keys
to transforming our planet. “Imagine
a world in which we all fulfill the purpose of our lives.”
Personal Letter from Heidi
It is said that "the best job is one that you would do even if you
didn't need the money".* While organizing for a client, I often think,
if I didn't need the money, I would do this for free. Organizing is not
so much about organizing things as it is about seeing the
transformation of people.
If you are not currently organized, imagine being organized: You are
empowered within the context of a home that works, and you are free to
live a life you love and spend more time with the people you love. I
have made it my job to offer power and freedom to others through
organization.
After organizing and decluttering, my clients later tell me that they
are energized. Many report losing weight. There is a connection between
clutter and body weight. If you wish to learn more, Peter Walsh, the
master of organization, has written a book called "Does This Clutter
Make My Butt Look Fat." His philosophy is brilliant and right on
target, in my opinion. My philosophy is to free others from the
constraints that are within our control.
"The connection between clutter and weight didn't occur to me
overnight. About a year ago I published my book It's All Too Much: An
Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff. - an Excerpt from
Peter's book "Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?"
Soon after the book was released I began hearing from people who'd used
it to get rid of the clutter in their homes and lives. In these letters
I discovered an unexpected side effect. The link that I had suspected
but only dimly glimpsed became obvious through the experiences of my
readers. I was inundated with real examples of the impact clutter had
on all areas of one's life - especially weight."
So what's my story? I live in south Minneapolis near Lake Harriett. I
love the neighborhood so much, I plan to grow old here. I grew up in
Northfield, MN. My dad is my inspiration. When I was little, he would
say to me "As you grow up, I don't care what you become as long as you
are happy. That's all I want for you."
When I began my business, my dad began occasionally sending me copies
of an inspiring column by Havey Mackay*. The word "inspiration" comes
from the Latin word for "to breathe life into". My dad gave me life,
and he continues to give me life. His love for me gives me the energy
to pursue my dreams, and for that I am grateful. I understand that not
everyone gets the privilege of having a dad as great as mine.
A little more about me on a personal level, if you're interested.
Currently, my favorite book is Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. My
favorite magazine is Real Simple.
A few of my favorite things are yoga, nature, and a colorful and crisp autumn day in Minnesota.
A few of my favorite quotes are:
"Love is when my heart touches your heart and adds to who you are." -Horst Rechelbacher
"All bliss is in the moment. The past is something we need to learn from, honor and let it go." -Unknown
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming
... Wow! What a ride !!!" -Landmark Education Seminar
May this be your best and most organized year yet,
Sincerely,
