Recycling Electronics The best site we have found for finding a recycling drop off or pick up center in your area is www.OpenList.com. Type in "Recycling Electronics" and your city and state. When you purchase Hewlett Packard products, they offer recycling on your old electronics. For details on their different programs, visit www.hp.com/recycle.
FREE RECYCLING Many cities, including Minneapolis MN, will pick up your unwanted computer monitors, hard drives, printers and copy machines with your regular recycling pick up for no additional charge. For Minneapolis, the limit is two of each item. For more information, visit http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/solid-waste/ and click on Hazardous Waste. Most cities offer one or more days a year when you can drop off your broken or unwanted electronics and other hazardous waste, such as paint and light bulbs, free of charge. Batteries If your wireless provider is AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, your old phone and battery to can be taken to one of their retail stores for recycling. AT&T will accept all brands of cell phones. Many electronics manufacturers and retailers offer free or low cost e-waste recycling.
